Inside Golf Highlights the 21st Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic Every year PGA Professionals from across the Philadelphia Section circle dates on their calendars for events they will be playing. While these events vary from Professional to Professional there is one event and one date that every Philadelphia PGA Professional circles and that is the Tuesday after Memorial Day and the Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic. The Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic has all the makings of a mini PGA Tour event, a large electronic leaderboard near the clubhouse, a gallery that gathers and cheers players on from behind the 18th green, television & media crews throughout the course, and of course a six figure first place prize. Each year the Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic provides a new wrinkle that makes the event even more exciting and intriguing than the year before and this year was no exception. The 2017 Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic, the 21st installment of this great tournament, saw an Assistant PGA Professional take home the top prize of $100,000. Not only was it an Assistant PGA Professional from the host facility Sunnybrook but also the runner up finisher from the 2016 Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic. In partnership with our friends at Inside Golf, this hour long showcase highlights the 21st Haverford Philadelphia PGA Classic and champion Andrew Turner as well as the PGA Professionals and the Haverford Trust who all come together to make this event one of the most premier PGA Sectional events.
